22-32-105. Duties - president and vice-president.

Statute text

(1) The president of the board shall preside at all meetings of the board. He shall sign any written contract to which the school district may be a party when such contract has been authorized by the board, and he shall sign all official reports of the district except when otherwise provided by law.

(2) In the absence or inability of the president, the vice-president shall have and perform all of the powers and duties of the president.

Annotations

"Absence" is not the same as "removal". In a proceeding involving school directors and involving "removal" from the district, it is held that "absence" from the district is one thing, "removal" another, and that separate and distinct statutory provisions (this and 22-31-129) relating thereto cannot both apply to the same case. Harris v. People ex rel. Gonzales, 102 Colo. 496, 81 P.2d 383 (1938) (decided under repealed CSA, C. 146, 103).
